Her influences come from historical archives and ephemera, anti-poverty and technology research, and speculative design practices.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_1 has-normal-font-size\" style=\"line-height:1.4\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Sutherland has shown her work at Columbia College in Chicago, the Handwerker Gallery in Ithaca, New York, Root Division and the ODC Gallery in San Francisco, the Santa Fe Art Institute, and was included in the Drawing Center\u2019s Viewing Program. She has been an artist in residence at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach, FL, the Santa Fe Art Institute, the Vermont Studio Center, and a design fellow at Code for America.
